Continental Temic (Germany)

Conti Temic microelectronic GmbH is developing and producing electronic systems and microsystems for automotive applications. Conti Temic delivers ECUs for numerous applications according to customer demands for almost all car manufacturers all over the world. The several product lines like power train & chassis, occupant safety, sensor systems, body electronics, automotive electric motors and automotive distance control systems operate as business unit "Electronics" in the automotive branch of Continental AG, Continental Automotive Systems (CAS).In the last years the product line powertrain & chassis stationed in Nuremberg was engaged in the development of power electronics for different e-drive applications and has equipped all fuel cell powered NECARs with power electronics for traction and auxiliary drives and the power distribution unit. In this time the product line gained a lot of experience in this field. Electronic control units of various power classes beginning from 2kW in standard assembly technique up to 70kW for electric drive application in high integrated Chip & Wire technique were developed within this time. Since the beginning of 2003 Continental decided to centralise all activities of Conti Temic concerning electric drives in a new product line named "Electric Drives" in order to focus on the advanced demands of these products.
